This job would suit an individual with management experience, with confidence to lead a team of excellent surf instructors.
To maintain effective running of a busy Surf School, managing a team of 10, teaching and overseeing general organisation, bookings, customer satisfaction, lesson quality, training, staff motivation and all associated equipment.
Delivering a high standard of customer service through anticipating customers’ needs and ensuring successful provision of all customer surfing propositions.

Clearly and flexibly directs and encourages others in the Jah Shaka team to meet and deliver tasks and expected standards. Helps and supports team members to enable them to optimise their performance.
Confidant reading surf reports and selecting the right waves and conditions for a variety of surfer levels
Experienced in a variety of conditions and able to recognise potential dangers in and out of the water
Proactively approach building and managing effective relationships with other camp managers, companies and individuals that we work with. Presents a clear and credible profile of themselves and Jah Shaka to others.

Management experience of team of 4 or more
Organising large groups of people in outdoor activities
Quick problem solver
Robust under pressure
Level 2 ASI or industry equivalent
Previous experience managing surf school
Worked or lived abroad

Ability to improvise & quickly problem solve
Able to work effectively as part of a team
