Swell is a Surf & Lifestyle hotel on the Pacific Coast of Guatemala. Open for a year, we are now looking to offer a better menu and high quality food in our restaurant, especially by implementing 5 "family-style" dinners every week for the whole hotel guests (maximum of 26 persons at all time). We are therefore looking for a chef to build our menu and 3 courses family-style dinners as well as create an unforgettable dinner experience for our guests.

The chef will be in charge of building the exisiting menu, creating delicious family style dinners respecting a given budget, training our local staff to cook and present the different plates, managing the stocks and building an inventory system.

We ask for experience in cooking for medium-large groups. This would be a customer facing position so you must deliver a high standard of customer service and feel at home hosting dinners as well as cooking them. Training and maintaining standards and quality throughout. Working to an allocated budget using local ingredients to create exciting menus for our guests. Shopping and sourcing the best ingredients possible. Spanish is essential.
